Brief

Complete building refurbishment, the client had purchased a neighbouring property as an investment opportunity and to enable company growth through expansion. The building had a reasonable footprint but required additional height and an extension to maximise the sites potential effectively

Design

We were contracted to strip off and dispose of the exiting roof cladding and to lift the roof using stub posts connected to the existing stanchions whilst utilising the existing roof steelwork and purlins by re locating them in the new higher section providing excellent cost savings to the client. The building was then fully re-sheeted using Kingspan KS1000RW roof panels, and twin skin wall cladding, including overcladding of the existing brickwork and offices. Such was the improvement and benefits to the client that we were subsequently awarded a second phase to extend the unit to the rear, matching the template used on Phase One.
